What is Grab?

Grab is Southeast Asia’s super‑app for rides and deliveries. In Thailand, you’ll mostly use GrabCar (private car), GrabBike (motorbike taxi), and GrabFood (food delivery).

How to order a ride

1. Choose Car or Bike in the app.
2. Pin pickup & destination accurately.
3. Confirm fare and wait for a driver.
4. Verify driver & plate in the app before boarding.

Tip: If pickup is tricky, send a short landmark in chat (e.g. “front of 7‑Eleven”).

Payment & promos

• Pay by card, GrabPay wallet, or cash (varies by city).
• Find codes in the app’s Rewards/Promos tab.
• Fares can surge during rain and rush hour.

Safety tips

• Match plate & driver photo before you hop in.
• Share trip status with a friend in the app.
• On GrabBike, always wear the helmet provided.

GrabFood basics

• Check restaurant ratings and ETA before ordering.
• Group orders to save on delivery fees.
• Pin your location carefully; add notes for condos/hotels.
